Itinerary

  • Day 1 Kathmandu

We will pick you up at the airport and rest before we meet for the full trip briefing. We’ll meet the rest of the group and go over any questions you may have.

  • Day 2 Bhote Koshi

Depart at 7:00am- Kayaking Lower Bhotekoshi (III+/IV)

After few hours drive we will reach the Bhote Koshi. This River is a tributary of the Sunkoshi River and is renowned for its challenging rapids and scenic beauty. We paddle 2 to 3 hours depending on how far we go. We will spend a night on a river side resort.

  • Day 3 Balefi

Today we drive for over an hour and do the classic Balephi Khola which is a boulder garden river with 3/3+ rapids to manoeuvre. Tonight will be our first river side camping on our own.

  • Day 4-10 Sunkoshi

Sunkoshi is the biggest volume and the longest commercially run river in Nepal. The riverside development and extractions have taken away part of its remoteness but still keeping its exhilarating whitewater and wilderness experience.

  • Day 11-13 Marshyangdi

The overnight bus ride to central Nepal will be the longest bus ride we will do during this trip.

Arriving at Marshyangdi, the day break provides a much-needed opportunity to rest, recharge, and prepare mentally and physically for the challenging boulder garden 4/4+ whitewater madness that lies ahead.

After the river run, driving to Pokhara, the adventure hub, provides a well-deserved transition to a more leisurely phase of the trip.

  • Day 14 Pokhara

Today there is an option for those who want to rest and re-energise by simply sitting, sipping beer, reading books or going on a refreshing adventure such as paragliding, swing, bungee jumping etc.

  • Day 19 Trishuli

Trishuli is one of Nepal's most popular rivers for rafting and kayaking, known for its beautiful scenery and thrilling rapids. We will experience the thrill of whitewater one final time before concluding our adventure.

  • Day 20 Kathmandu

The final activity of the trip, heading to the Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath Stupa), offers a perfect way to culminate the adventure with a blend of spirituality and scenic beauty. The Monkey Temple, perched atop a hill, provides a stunning vantage point to witness the morning sun illuminating the bustling city of Kathmandu.

In the afternoon you will have sometime to explore local markets and shops to find unique souvenirs and mementos to take back home.

  • Day 21 Departure

Thats it! We will drop you off at the airport and look forward to welcome you onse again for new adventure in the Himalayas.

Nepal's 4+ rapids on a kayak demands both physical prowess and technical expertise. Paddling against fast currents and maneuvering rapids requires excellent upper body strength, core stability, and strong cardiovascular endurance. Swimming confidently is a must in case of a capsize. On the skill side, prior whitewater kayaking experience, especially on Class 3 rapids, is crucial. Swiftwater rescue techniques like self-rescue and buddy rescue are essential for safety. We assess your skills, provide instruction, navigate the river's challenges, and prioritize your safety. Before embarking on this adventure, consult a doctor to ensure you're physically fit for the demands and prioritize safety by ensuring you meet these requirements.
